The INFINITE project was recently featured at the XVII Meeting of the Specialized Group of Polymers (GEP) in Madrid, hosted by RSEQ/RSEF. Rafael García-Etxabe from GAIKER delivered a detailed presentation titled “Detection of tensile stress in glass fiber reinforced composites with integrated ferromagnetic microwires”.
This research, central to the INFINITE project, focuses on detecting stress in composite materials, significantly enhancing the precision of structural health monitoring. Rafael also introduced the RedMarfil network, a collaborative effort aimed at advancing biopolymers to increase their industrial application and market integration. The meeting gathered over 250 industry professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between experts and researchers across the polymer and composite materials industries.
