Revolutionizing NCF sensorized materials: Aeroform Composite’s breakthroughs in the INFINITE Project

Aeroform Composite announces significant advancements in developing innovative repair technologies for non-crimp fabric (NCF) sensorized materials. With over 24 years of expertise in composite repair solutions, Aeroform continues to lead the way in designing and delivering advanced equipment for composite manufacturing and repair in the aerospace industry. Their contributions to the INFINITE project focus on revolutionizing repair methodologies for NCF materials, addressing the most critical stages of composite maintenance while ensuring efficiency, safety and durability. Aeroform Composite has achieved remarkable progress. Among the key innovations are:

  • Innovative repair techniques for laminates
Aeroform has successfully designed an optimized repair method for composite laminates composed of six layers. This technique ensures structural integrity, minimizes downtime, and sets a new benchmark for high-performance repairs.
  • Advanced Tooling Solutions
Supporting these repairs is a newly developed stepping tool and a specialized tooling kit. Designed for precision and efficiency, this kit empowers operators to perform repairs faster and more accurately, significantly reducing repair times while enhancing quality.
  • Next-Generation WebApp Integration
A major leap in operational efficiency is their new Aeroform WebApp: “AeroCloudBonding”. This web-based application allows operators to access and control Aeroform Hot Bonders remotely via secure Wi-Fi or 4G-5G connections.

Key benefits of “AeroCloudBonding” include enhanced remote monitoring and control, enabling operators to oversee and adjust processes from multiple devices; significant time savings, as technicians can manage repairs remotely while focusing on other tasks; and secure connectivity, ensuring reliable and safe access to critical systems for uninterrupted operations.

These milestones mark a significant leap forward in composite repair technology, underscoring Aeroform’s commitment to innovation and excellence within the INFINITE project.
